When I chose Budapest for our New Year trip, I envisaged it being (temperature-wise) similar to Amsterdam, where we spent New Year the year before. I was wrong. It was MUCH MUCH COLDER.

CUBA – November 2016
Cuba had been vaguely on my list for a long time, but eventually I decided it was time to make it happen before it became totally overrun with Americans (which slightly spoilt our holiday to Mexico this time last year). So we made it happen.

Well what a trip this was. Canada is…BIG. And attempting to cover it in less than 2 weeks was… some would say ambitious, some would probably just say foolish. But when has that ever stopped me?!
VENICE – March 2016

Moving Mountains
I got back 2 weeks ago from South America -Ecuador (mainly the Galapagos islands), Peru and Bolivia. It was a very different kind of trip from Asia -infinitely more challenging.
Preconceptions – Asia 2013
Let’s do some backtracking. In January and February 2013 I was in Asia fulfilling a long-held dream; to see Thailand, and the temples of Cambodia. I decided (because I’m a bit of a wimp) to join a group trip rather than DIYing it and after a bit of homework I went for a company called Intrepid.
They offered numerous trips but the one I went for was the Great Indochina Loop travelling through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
